Great music, young musicians, a good cause: Join us for the Vermont Youth Orchestra’s benefit concert in support of the Ronald McDonald House in Wiener Neustadt on June 30 at the Stadttheater Wiener Neustadt. The Josef Matthias Hauer Music School of the City of Wiener Neustadt will open the program with works from the Viennese Classical period.
You’ll hear some of the most iconic melodies in music history. The program spans a wide range, from Verdi’s magnificent operatic sounds from Nabucco to the Nordic mysticism of the Peer Gynt Suites, the monumental film score from Ben-Hur, and the theme music from the video game Kingdom Hearts. You can also look forward to melodies from Dvořák’s spirited Slavonic Dances, Holst’s The Planets, and Respighi’s impressive “The Archangel Michael” from The Four Seasons.
At the Ronald McDonald House in Wiener Neustadt, they firmly believe that no family should have to choose between being close to their child in the hospital and being at home. When a child is being treated in the hospital, the family stays by their side—and that is exactly where the work of the Ronald McDonald Houses comes in. In this way, the Ronald McDonald Houses create a place where families can stay together even during difficult times—and that is exactly what makes all the difference.
